Our annual autumn pilgrimage to Byron Bay to visit our kids and beautiful grandchildren always results in a painting or two. We love the climate, the markets, the cafes and the beaches are awe-inspiring. We were walking on New Brighton beach after the passing of a storm, sheltering from the occasional shower under the pandanus trees, when Peter captured this scene. The sky was still dark and foreboding, and the sea was wild and churning. The foam on the water was luminous when the sun finally made an appearance. We are often asked the maximum size a canvas giclee can be printed without losing resolution. We have a 2300 x 1150mm print of this painting in a restaurant in Nelson and it looks fabulous. The rolled price on this size is $1300. The maximum size is 2600 x 1300mm and the rolled price is $1600.
