Many Kiwis share a close connection with farming and the rural lifestyle. It's part of our DNA. We both have fond memories of holidays on farms when we were children, helping out at shearing time, lambing and mustering. I have some not so fond memories of my grandfather bellowing at me from across the ridge because I'd left some sheep behind. His language becoming more and more colourful as the muster continued. Here is a very typical rural scene Peter and I came across on our travels in the South Island.
