Peter photographed Ngawhiti, Tata Island from the ridgeline on the northern end of Tata Beach on a clear winter morning in July. The Tata Islands are iconic to Golden Bay and have such special significance to locals and visitors alike. We love to kayak around the islands, which is definitely the best way to admire the nesting shags and the vegetation which hang so precariously from the limestone cliffs.
