Kotare the Kingfisher
The sacred kingfisher is a constant visitor to our wetland and surrounding estuaries. Whether perched high on the power wires or low on the branches of a tree they are forever vigilant and awaiting an unsuspecting crab or small fish. The vibrant colours of its plumage were a pleasure to paint.
